Printed circuit boards and assemblies in devices and housings often have to be connected to each other via a cable. In some cases these connections need to be detachable, in others non-detachable. This ribbon cable, which is suitable for cutting and clamping, is ideal for these internal device cables. With a conductor cross-section of AWG 28 (0.089mm²), it is compatible with a large number of insulation displacement connectors. These can be installed quickly and securely due to the cable geometry. The stranded construction of the conductors ensures a high degree of flexibility in the cable. With a bending radius of 5 cm over 1 million bending cycles are possible. In addition to flexibility, the easy separability of the cores is an important feature. In this way, bus lines and branches can be realised in the simplest possible way, considerably increasing the design freedom of developers.
