Especially in combination with 3M Acrylic Foam double-sided adhesive tapes, Scotchmount 4298UV adhesion promoter / primer is suitable for a variety of plastic types used in automotive construction, in particular it often produces excellent results on low-energy surfaces. Scotchmount Primer 4298UV is suitable for priming the following substrates: PP/EPDM, EPDM, TPE, PE, PP, PET, ABS, TPO, PC, GRP, CFRP, EVA or automotive paints. This primer is not suitable for PVC.

The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again. 3M PX5011 is a medium grey, double-sided acrylic foam tape with very good initial and excellent final tack for low and medium energy surfaces. 3M Dual Lock is a self-adhesive, flexible pressure seal in roll form. The patented system consists of black polyolefin strips with hemispherical heads on a short stem. Pressing them together creates a firm but removable connection. Unlike conventional fastening systems such as screws or rivets, no holes are required which would detract from the visual appearance of the surface. 3M Acrylic Foam Adhesive Tape is made from a medium density grey acrylic foam. Typical applications include the attachment of add-on parts such as bumper mouldings, trim strips, emblems, etc. GT6012 has good adhesion to a wide range of automotive surfaces, good internal strength, excellent long-term stability and very good conformability to the surfaces to be bonded.
