3M 583 Heat Activatable Adhesive Film is a flexible, thermosetting, nitrile phenolic based adhesive film with strong adhesion. It can be heat or solvent activated for bonding. It can also be easily cross-linked by subsequent heat treatment. This hot-melt adhesive film bonds strongly and permanently to the surface to which it is applied. This adhesive can be used in the manufacture of printed circuit boards for splicing glass fibre tapes. Can be activated by solvents in the uncured form.
