These fibre discs contain precision-formed abrasive grains to optimise both speed of use and durability in mild steel processing. The construction of the disc with a stiff fibre backing and a strong resin bond ensures durability and tear resistance, so that more parts can be machined per disc and fewer overall disc changes are required when combined with a fast cutting abrasive grain. Normally thermally conductive structural steels, forged steels and non-ferrous metals are also processed economically with the 3M fibre disc 782C in grit sizes 36+, 60+ and 80+.
