The 3M cold shrink yarns for medium voltage series QT II are used to insulate all plastic or rubber insulated cables. The products are supplied pre-stretched on a removable support spiral, enabling efficient and simple installation. An electrical field control integrated into the insulating body simplifies installation. Due to the specific properties of the insulating silicone body, a wide range of cable cross-section terminations are possible. The 3M termination sets for medium voltages are available both with and without mechanical lugs. 3M cold shrink fittings for medium voltage have been developed as a simple and safe solution for terminating medium voltage cables. One-piece creep-resistant cold-shrink termination made of HTV silicone rubber suitable for all plastic-insulated 1-conductor cables in accordance with VDE and TGL.

It can be used on various smooth materials, such as metals, plastic, glass, etc. The surface cleaner consists of isopropanol. Please check compatibility with the materials used before use. Clean all surfaces carefully before each application and only use clean, lint-free cloths. The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again.
