Scotch-Weld 800 is a nitrile rubber-based sealant with good adhesion to metallic surfaces. The fast-drying, flexible and rubber-like sealing compound is resistant to oil, fuel, weather and moisture. Scotch-Weld 800 AF is preferably used for sealing ventilation ducts in air conditioning systems. The product is also used for sealing narrow joints and butt joints in metal construction.

The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again.
