The insulating tape can withstand a breakdown voltage of up to 8,000 volts and, with a temperature resistance of 155 °C, belongs to insulating material class F. At the same time, mechanical damage is virtually impossible thanks to its flame resistance, high puncture resistance and resistance to oils and solder dripping. The epoxy film is extremely robust and elastic. It is therefore particularly suitable for use as a coil cover, for cable fastening and cable bundling, for cover bandages and for end and crossover insulation in transformers. The highly elastic epoxy tape is also characterised by its easy handling. It can be unrolled very evenly and its heat-curing rubber adhesive prevents subsequent flagging.
