3M Contour Marking Series 983 is a durable, microprismatic, retroreflective contour marking. 3M Contour Marking Series 983 was developed to mark fixed bodies of long vehicles and their trailers in accordance with UN/ECE Regulation 104. 3M Contour Marking Series 983 is coated with a permanent adhesive for application to painted or unpainted metal substrates. The film is resistant to petrol vapours and occasional fuel spills. It is also reflective in wet conditions. Microprismatic reflective film for contour marking of vehicles and trailers with fixed bodies in accordance with ECE-104.

The surface cleaner is used to degrease, clean and prepare parts to be joined before bonding. It can be used on various smooth materials, such as metals, plastic, glass, etc. The surface cleaner consists of isopropanol. Please check compatibility with the materials used before use. Clean all surfaces carefully before each application and only use clean, lint-free cloths. The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again.
