For demanding processing conditions The 3M polyester adhesive tape 8901 is a thin, pliable polyester adhesive tape that is ideal for masking tasks in high-temperature applications and adheres well to silicone-coated surfaces. The translucent blue backing film is tear-resistant. Coated with a silicone adhesive, the tape produces sharp coloured edges and is therefore very suitable for masking workpieces during powder coating, for example. It can be removed from most surfaces cleanly and in one go without fraying or tearing. This adhesive tape is also ideal for splicing silicone liners, paper and films that are exposed to high temperatures. The 3M Scotchlok connectors with pluggable branch are suitable for all applications in installation, control, measurement and regulation technology where a pluggable electrical branch connection is desired or required. This makes installation much easier, particularly in switchgear construction and automotive electrics. With a cross-sectional area of between 0.5 and 3.0 square millimetres, they also enable connections to be made to uncut conductors. With the appropriate pluggable branch, the through-connection is then transformed into a branch connection in a single step. The Scotchlok connectors are available in the colours red, blue and yellow. They can withstand a maximum voltage of 600 volts and a maximum temperature of 105 °C. Their function is based on the principle of a U-element: the conductors to be connected are fed into the connector without having to be stripped beforehand. By applying light pressure with the Scotchlok pliers, the U-shaped elements remove the wire insulation, increase the contact surface and establish contact with the conductor. The spring-loaded U-element encloses the individual conductors and ensures a mechanically strong, vibration-proof, electrically perfect and permanent connection.
