3M 9731 is equipped with a modified acrylate adhesive on one side and a silicone adhesive on the other. The acrylic adhesive has a very high bond strength to most materials, even to low-energy surfaces such as PP, PE. The silicone adhesive has good adhesion to a wide range of silicone rubber types and siliconised paper. The adhesive tape is characterised by good shear strength, high temperature resistance and very good punchability.

It can be used on various smooth materials, such as metals, plastic, glass, etc. The surface cleaner consists of isopropanol. Please check compatibility with the materials used before use. Clean all surfaces carefully before each application and only use clean, lint-free cloths. The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again. 3M HSR heat-shrink tubing is a thin-walled heat-shrink tubing made from modified, radiation-crosslinked polyolefin. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, particularly for electrical insulation and labelling of connections.
