3M Dual Lock is a self-adhesive, flexible pressure seal in roll form. The patented system consists of black polyolefin strips with hemispherical heads on a short stem. Pressing them together creates a firm but removable connection. Unlike conventional fastening systems such as screws or rivets, no holes are required which would detract from the visual appearance of the surface. 3M Acrylic Foam Adhesive Tape is made from a medium density grey acrylic foam. Typical applications include the attachment of add-on parts such as bumper mouldings, trim strips, emblems etc. GT6012 has good adhesion to a wide range of automotive surfaces, good internal strength, excellent long-term stability and very good conformability to the surfaces to be bonded. The uniform viscoelastic properties of GT6012 provide excellent stress relief in the bonded seam, resulting in extremely durable bonds.
