The 3M glass fibre reinforced polyester film 1039 combines the good electrical properties of a polyester film with the high stability of a glass fabric tape. The 0.177 millimetre insulating tape can withstand a breakdown voltage of 5,500 volts and has an extremely high tensile strength. With a temperature resistance of up to 130 °C, it belongs to insulating material class B. The polyester film absorbs resins and paints particularly well and is coated with a solvent-resistant acrylate adhesive. You can therefore use it well wherever solvents are indispensable in the application. This includes fastening applications and coil taping.
