The 3M Liquid Body Masking Film noticeably optimises the vehicle masking process. It reliably protects against paint and filler mist as well as polishing splashes and welding sparks. At the same time, it has a dust-binding effect and thus enables clean working. You apply the liquid film directly from the spray gun onto the vehicle. A flow cup gun made of stainless steel is recommended for water-dilutable materials. Select a nozzle size of 1.3 millimetres for a conventional gun and 1.7 to 1.9 millimetres for an HLVP gun. The water-soluble protective film can be easily removed from the vehicle after application with water, preferably using a high-pressure cleaner. This effectively saves you time and therefore money both during application and removal. As the product is biodegradable, it is also a sustainable alternative to conventional plastic films.

It can be used on various smooth materials, such as metals, plastic, glass, etc. The surface cleaner consists of isopropanol. Please check compatibility with the materials used before use. The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again.
