The 3M MDT-A heat-shrinkable tubing is a halogen-free, medium-walled heat-shrinkable tubing made of radiation cross-linked polyolefin with a hot-melt adhesive coating. The hot-melt adhesive penetrates into all uneven areas and cavities and prevents the ingress of moisture. The 3M MDT-A heat-shrinkable tubing is suitable for insulating plastic and earth cables up to 0.6/1kV, both for installation in the open air and in the ground. The ageing-resistant heat-shrinkable tubing is UV-resistant and resistant to many chemical influences. It can be used in a temperature range from -55 °C to +130 °C. Thanks to its high shrink rate of 4.5 to one, you can cover large diameter jumps with just one tube. The 3M MDT-A heat shrink tubing fulfils the technical requirements of IEC 60684 and is approved according to Lloyds Register of Shipping, certificate 95/30032(E5). It is halogen-free and RoHS-compliant.
- Modified, radiation cross-linked polyolefin with high ageing resistance
- UV-resistant, halogen-free and resistant to many chemical influences
- In hoses with a hot-melt adhesive, the adhesive melts and penetrates into all irregularities and cavities. This prevents the ingress of moisture
- Medium-walled heat-shrink tubing without hot-melt adhesive and self-extinguishing types are available on request.
- Due to the high shrinkage rate of up to 4.5:1, large diameter jumps can be captured with one hose
- For insulating and sealing all plastic and earth cables.
