3M Piezo Inkjet Digital Inks Series 8800UV were developed as part of the 3M MCS (Matched Component System) warranty programme specifically for printing 3M microprismatic reflective films using Durst Rho 162 TS printers before the film is applied to a traffic sign. When protected by the protective laminate recommended by 3M, the finished traffic signs have an expected lifetime comparable to that of the 3M microprismatic reflective film applied to the sign.

In contrast to conventional casting resins for cable accessories, Scotchcast 4 GS epoxy resin is a CMR-free casting resin. It therefore contains no carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic substances. The resin is characterised by reduced heat development compared to other epoxy resins and is insensitive to water during storage, curing and use (hydrolytically stable).
