3M 540 Polyurethane Adhesive and Sealant is low modulus with a long open time and provides permanent elastic bonds to plastics such as ABS, PMMA and PVC, fibreglass, aluminium, steel, coated metals and wood. The product has a skin formation time of 1 to 2 hours and can be painted over afterwards. 3M 540 enables the transfer of higher forces between the joining partners.

Clean all surfaces carefully before each application and only use clean, lint-free cloths. The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again.
