Scotch Electrical Insulating Tape 23 is a self-amalgamating insulating tape based on ethylene-propylene rubber with excellent electrical and dielectric properties. At 80 to 100 per cent elongation, the individual winding layers join together to form a homogeneous winding without air pockets. This makes it ideal for winding on primary insulation on connections and terminations for plastic-insulated cables in the medium voltage range up to 69 kilovolts - and in particular for sealing coaxial connectors on antennas and cable entries.
