Scotch glass fibre fabric tape 27 can withstand a breakdown voltage of 3,000 volts and, with a temperature resistance of up to 130 °C, belongs to insulating material class B. This makes it ideal for insulating electrical components that emit a lot of heat and as a protective winding against heat radiation. Like all glass fibre tapes, it is particularly tear and abrasion resistant. This ensures long-lasting functionality even under high mechanical stress, such as in electric motors. Due to its elasticity, the insulating tape coated with a thermosetting rubber adhesive adapts perfectly to different substrates. At the same time, the printable fabric structure ensures excellent absorption of resins and paints. What is the difference between ET27 and ET27U? The ET 27U has a finer structure, which reduces fraying during cutting.
