3M Scotch-Weld SW49 is an acrylate-based PSA adhesive. The product is characterised by fast instant adhesion, permanent tack and high yield. Scotch-Weld 49 is suitable for bonding insulating materials such as glass and rock wool, felt, textiles, fibre-reinforced fleece, polystyrene, etc. to wood, metals and plastics.

The surface cleaner is used to degrease, clean and prepare parts to be joined before bonding. It can be used on various smooth materials, such as metals, plastic, glass, etc. The surface cleaner consists of isopropanol. Please check compatibility with the materials used before use. Clean all surfaces carefully before each application and only use clean, lint-free cloths. The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again.
