3M Scotchcast removable cable resin 2123 is a soft, two-component polybutadiene moulding compound. This resin has good handling and performance characteristics and is suitable for removable splice protection. This versatile, moisture-sealing resin adheres to almost all cable jackets.

3M Scotchcast Cable Resin 2123 has good wetting and low viscosity properties. This soft, flexible resin cures at room temperature and is used as an insulating material for cable splices operating up to 1 kV. It flows easily, even at low temperatures, while filling the housing and minimising voids. It is tested according to CENELEC HD 623.S1 (EN50393) and is 2011/65/EU (RoHS) and 1907/2007/EC (REACH) compliant.
