3M Scotchcast 2123 is a flexible, 2-component potting compound (gel-like polybutadiene resin) that reliably prevents the penetration of moisture into splice bundles. Scotchcast 2123 is suitable for all electrical applications that require a reliable and removable resin with good workability and excellent performance characteristics. Due to its low viscosity and long working time, Scotchcast 2123 has excellent flow behaviour even at low temperatures and fills junction boxes with virtually no air pockets. 3M Scotchcast 2123 is a flexible, two-component polybutadiene potting resin that has been specially developed for removable splice protection up to 1 kV. Scotchcast 2123 resin is suitable for all electrical applications requiring a flexible, removable resin with good processing and performance properties. 3M Scotchcast 2123 has been tested to the CENELEC HD 623.S1 (EN50393) standard and is compliant with EU Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS) and EU Directive 1907/2007/EC (REACH).
