The 3M seam sealing tape ensures that body seams or overlaps look true to the original after the repair. This means that the repaired area can no longer be distinguished from the original condition and you can save yourself time-consuming reworking to improve the appearance. The extremely adaptable adhesive tape with rubber backing can be repositioned, but shows significantly better adhesion if it is placed directly and correctly on a primed or filled substrate. However, the sealing tape only develops its full adhesive strength after painting, as the solvents contained in the paint activate the acrylate adhesive and ensure reliable sealing and adhesion.

It can be used on various smooth materials, such as metals, plastic, glass, etc. The surface cleaner consists of isopropanol. Please check compatibility with the materials used before use. Clean all surfaces carefully before each application and only use clean, lint-free cloths. The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again.
