The 3M Scotchfoam single-sided foam tapes are made of a closed-cell vinyl foam with a heavy-duty acrylic adhesive. They are ideal for sealing against dust and moisture, e.g. in household appliances, computers and other electronic devices. Due to their excellent acoustic properties, Scotchfoam foam adhesive tapes are also suitable for damping and soft mounting of sensitive appliance parts.

It can be used on various smooth materials, such as metals, plastic, glass, etc. The surface cleaner consists of isopropanol. Please check compatibility with the materials used before use. Clean all surfaces carefully before each application and only use clean, lint-free cloths. The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again.
