The 3M 9926 respirator is part of the 3M special mask programme. It was developed for special work areas. The mask has an integrated activated carbon layer and thus ensures additional protection and reduced odour nuisance. Its advantages range from the padded nose clip with optimum face fit to the 3M Advanced Electret filter medium and the tear-resistant textile strap with colour coding. The 3M Cool Flow exhalation valve increases wearing comfort, especially in hot and humid environments, as it allows respiratory heat and moisture to escape easily. The 3M 9926 respirator is compatible with 3M safety spectacles and has protection level FFP2 NR D. The application limit is 10 times the limit value for particles - it is also effective against organic odours, HF gas and sulphur dioxide below the limit value. Its areas of application range from aluminium production and waste disposal to animal carcass recycling. Approval in accordance with standard EN 149:2001+A1:2009.

3M FT-10 Fit Test Fit Test Apparatus (sweet)

The 3M Fit Test FT10 is a control accessory for 3M half masks that can be used to carry out a taste test to check the fit of particle-filtering half masks and half masks with particle or combination filters. The test kit contains a bonnet with a cuff, which the test person wears without respiratory protection in the first round. The sweet-tasting sensitivity test solution is then sprayed into the bonnet using a nebuliser. The amount required for the test person to taste the solution when inhaling is the indicator for the test amount for the second run. Here, the test person wears the respiratory protection to be tested under the bonnet. After a few movement and breathing exercises that simulate realistic use of the mask, the fit test solution is sprayed into the bonnet. If the test person tastes nothing, the mask fits tightly and provides reliable protection. However, if the taste test is positive and this is also the case during a control run, the mask is unsuitable for the shape of the test person's face.
