3M 5557 Wasser-Kontakt-Indikator ist ein 0,259 mm dickes Klebeband, das den Kontakt mit Wasser anzeigt. Das Indikator-Band verfärbt sich bei direktem Wasserkontakt von Weiß zu Rot. Eine zusätzliche Filmschicht aus Polyester ermöglicht das Bedrucken mit allen gängigen Druckverfahren.
