tesa 51407 is a polyimide tape with a silicone adhesive specially developed for applications requiring high temperature and chemical resistance.
tesa 51407 is used for various applications, especially for wave soldering, thermal insulation and cable wrapping as well as masking in powder coating processes, where the tape enables sharp colour edges and provides excellent colour anchorage. The silicone adhesive system of the polyimide tape makes the tape extremely heat resistant and withstands extreme temperatures of up to 260°C in continuous applications. tesa 51407 is available as PV2 variant with liner.
