tesa HAF 8401 is a heat-activated film based on nitrile rubber and phenolic resin. The amber-coloured, linerless material is covered with a paper liner and is easy to cut and punch. At room temperature, tesa HAF 8401 is not adhesive. The activation temperature for pre-fixing is approx. 90°C. In a second processing step, the product is applied under pressure and heat.
- Adhesive film without carrier
- Carrier: without
- Adhesive: Nitrile rubber & phenolic resin
- Once fully cured, tesa HAF 8401 achieves: extremely high bond strength, very high temperature resistance
- 200µm reactive heat-activated film
- The material can be used for all materials with high heat resistance, such as metal, glass, plastic and textiles.
- Structural bonding
- Bonding of plain bearings and brake linings.
- Bonding of magnets in electric motors
