tesa HAF 8402 is a linerless heat-activated film based on nitrile rubber and phenolic resin. The amber-coloured, linerless material is covered with a paper liner and can be cut and punched very easily. The material is non-adhesive at room temperature. The activation temperature for pre-fixing is approx. 90°C. In a second processing step, the product is applied under pressure and heat.
- Adhesive film without carrier
- Carrier: without
- Adhesive: Nitrile rubber & phenolic resin
- Once fully cured, tesa HAF 8401 achieves: extremely high bond strength, very high temperature resistance
- 125µm reactive heat-activated film
- Continuous bonding of temperature-resistant materials such as glass fibres, metal and plastic foils as well as floor coverings and abrasive belts.
- High-strength bonding (overlapping splice)
- Bonding of clutch and friction linings.
- Structural bonding.
- Bonding of carbon brushes and magnets in electric motors.
