Scotch-Brite SC-DR Roloc discs are suitable for cleaning and finishing metal surfaces. They are used in multi-stage work processes after treatment with fibre discs for further processing of the surface, be it to create a bright finish on stainless steel or to produce a clean, burr-free surface before painting or coating ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

The Scotch-Brite EXL compact disc is ideal for deburring and polishing with its strong and durable bonded non-woven fibre construction. Our bonded EXL compact discs are constructed by blending abrasive and nylon fibres with synthetic resin. The nonwoven is cured and compressed for added strength and durability. Higher density EXL materials can be extremely tough and aggressively abrasive, allowing them to effectively deburr edges and corners without damaging the workpiece. Lower density materials are soft, conformable and provide a finer finish. They are ideal for finishing contoured surfaces. These sanding discs prevent smearing, giving you cleaner surfaces and reducing preparation time. They are available with silicon carbide or aluminium oxide abrasive mineral. Silicon carbide is a very sharp-edged, synthetic abrasive commonly used for low-pressure applications such as painting and finishing work. Aluminium oxide is a hard, blocky mineral with a high removal rate and long durability. Although silicon carbide removes faster than aluminium oxide, it produces a finer finish. Compact products are durable due to their production process. The compression and hardening of multiple layers of abrasive creates a tough and dense abrasive that can be used for heavy deburring and polishing tasks. The discs are mounted on a 114.3 mm backing pad with a 22.23 mm diameter centre hole to achieve the correct angle on the turning tools. Scotch-Brite abrasives are unique products for surface finishing. The abrasives are bonded in a non-woven fibre matrix. The combination of abrasive and non-woven material creates an abrasive system that achieves consistent results throughout the life of the product. The open non-woven structure enables cool sanding and is dust-repellent, so that the nylon fibres retain their high removal rate because they do not clog.

The Scotch-Brite Deburr and Finish PRO compact deburring and finishing disc uses precision-moulded 3M grains bonded to a nylon cloth to provide increased performance and life for deburring and finishing applications. Our pressed compact discs are soft but as wear resistant as iron to minimise disc changes.   Use the Scotch-Brite PRO compact disc for high grinding performance and long service life in deburring and finishing work. Our smooth-running pressed compact discs remove burrs quickly and cleanly. They are soft to prevent damage, but as strong and wear-resistant as iron and therefore need to be replaced less frequently. They are manufactured with precision-moulded ceramic abrasive grains bonded to a nylon mesh. The hardness of the ceramic material in combination with the self-sharpening grain extends the service life and work can be carried out more quickly without compromising the desired smooth result or the adjustable processing with Scotch-Brite abrasive discs. The PRO compact discs for deburring and finishing are ideal for OEM and pipework renovation and maintenance. These robust high-performance grinding discs reliably remove dirt, corrosion deposits and other contaminants without stressing or impairing the thread form. This means that pipework can be put back into operation more quickly.
