It is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which is flame retardant. 3M Temflex 155 tape offers good mechanical protection with minimal bulk and is Type 1 classified according to IEC 60454-3-1-1/F-PVCP/60. Temflex 155 vinyl insulating tape is based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and/or its copolymers and has a rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive. The tape is 0.13 mm thick, tested in accordance with UL standard 510 and labelled as "flame retardant". The tape can be used at temperatures from 0 °C to 38 °C without impairing its physical properties. It is classified for indoor and outdoor use and is compatible with synthetic cable insulation, sheathing and bonding materials.
