With the new TYROLIT SCM programme, TYROLIT is taking a further step towards economic efficiency. The machining time of the workpiece can be significantly reduced. A saving of 1 to 3 work steps is therefore the main argument. Thanks to the fast and high removal rate, applications such as the reduction of surface roughness, removal of tarnish, smoothing of surfaces, cleaning and removal of weld seams can be realised. Another advantage of SCM is the deburring of tool edges without additional material removal. Furthermore, the TYROLIT SCM programme shows the best results in terms of tool life, which in turn is proof of the cost-effectiveness of these products.

The added ceramic grit promotes self-cleaning and sharpening of the disc during material abrasion. Thanks to their extremely high cutting performance, these fibre discs are an excellent choice for removing weld seams, blending and surface finishing of stainless steel or alloys with a high nickel content. The 3M Cubitron II fibre disc 787C contains precision-formed abrasive grain, which is required to achieve very short processing times and long tool life in demanding applications from grinding to deburring. The product contains a grinding aid on the grain side to keep the workpiece cool and the grinding disc lasts longer. The disc consists of a rigid fibre backing, a strong resin bond and the abrasive coating, which ensures durability and wear resistance. This structure and the combination with precision-moulded abrasive grain means that more parts per disc can be processed faster and much cooler, and fewer disc changes are required.
