This tool is used to grind all cutting tools for the wood and metal industry as well as various shear blades. These products are disc and cup wheels in the CBN grit size range B181 - B91. Compared to conventional corundum discs, CBN discs have significantly lower wear and higher dimensional accuracy.

3M polyester film 54 is a particularly thin and elastic insulating tape that is characterised by its high adhesive strength. While the thermosetting rubber adhesive is extremely resistant to flagging, the backing has very high tear and abrasion resistance. The 0.06 millimetre thin adhesive tape can withstand a breakdown voltage of 5,500 volts and, with a temperature resistance of up to 130 °C, belongs to insulation class B.
