The 3M UHMW polyethylene sliding adhesive tape 5423 is suitable for use as a sliding and protective coating in a wide variety of applications. Its self-lubricating effect leads to extremely high gliding properties, which protects the bonded surface from damage caused by friction. In this way, the adhesive tape ensures that the functionality and properties of parts rubbing against each other are maintained. At the same time, it has a noise-damping effect and thus prevents unpleasant squeaking and creaking. Due to its good temperature resistance, it can be used in a wide range of applications. Its protective cover also makes it ideal for the production of stamped parts.

3M UHMW (ultra-high-molecular-weight) polyethylene sliding tapes have a highly slippery surface due to their low coefficient of friction. They also have excellent abrasion resistance. The optimum combination of these properties makes these adhesive tapes particularly suitable for use as sliding tapes. These tapes are also self-lubricating, resistant to moisture and many chemical agents. They are repellent to most dry or pasty substances and have good puncture and impact resistance. The 3M sliding tapes differ in terms of thickness and different adhesive versions.

The 3M 4540+M TYPE 5/6 protective suit is light, soft and extremely comfortable to wear. It is made of a microporous material (PE laminate) on the front, which offers reliable protection and is also slightly breathable.
