Variants
3M 9703 is a dry transferable, double-sided adhesive film. 3M 9703 is electrically conductive in Z-axis and has good insulation in X- and Y-axis. The electrical conductivity is achieved by silver-coated nickel particles arranged in the Z-axis. These do not react in a magnetic field and are not affected in their alignment by vibration. The adhesive film connects flexible circuits with a medium distance electrically and mechanically to other flexible circuits, rigid printed circuit boards (PCB) or LCD screens. The electrically conductive film 9703 offers good adhesion to common PCB substrates such as copper, gold, FR 4 epoxy, polyimide and polyester films. Stable electrical performance in any flexible circuit interconnect application may require mechanical reinforcement (clamping).
