The 3M Diamond Grade DG³ reflective film with the latest 3M technology utilises cat's eye optics to maximise the amount of light reflected back to the driver. Suitable for all traffic situations in and out of town and on motorways, DG³ reflective film offers very wide viewing angles and outstanding performance at all distances and in all weather conditions. Signs are very easy to recognise even in difficult visibility conditions on roads at night. 3M Diamond Grade DG³ Reflective Film Series 4000 is approved for the production of traffic signs in accordance with the European Technical Approval (ETA). Microprismatic reflective film according to DIN 67520 (RA3,C) and DIN 6171, part 1 Technical information: SG 92 Screen printing colour: Series 880i
- Demographic developments are also increasing the need for better road equipment.
- Older drivers have longer reaction times and poorer night vision. Signs made with 3M Diamond Grade DG³ reflective film increase the brightness that older drivers need to a greater extent.
- Different vehicle sizes - from cars to SUVs to semi-trailers - create significantly different viewing angles. Traffic signs with 3M Diamond Grade DG³ Prismatic reflective film will also meet the requirements of drivers of large vehicles
- 3M™ Diamond Grade DG³ prismatic reflective films can make the external illumination of signs superfluous (e.g. for overhead signposts).
- The manufacturing process for microprismatic films is also much more environmentally friendly than that for reflective films with glass beads.
- VOC emissions are reduced by 97%, energy consumption by 77% and waste generation by 46% compared to the production of glass bead-based films.
- The long service life minimises the costs for sign replacement and disposal.
- Fluorescent colours for a stronger signalling effect in daylight and unfavourable visibility and weather conditions. Typical areas of application: school areas, danger zones, railway crossings, areas with speed limits and construction sites.
- For signs that are positioned unfavourably, e.g. overhead or on the left-hand hard shoulder.
- Short, medium and long viewing distances
