The 3M E-A-R Tracers earplugs can be detected by a metal detector during final inspection in the food or pharmaceutical industry thanks to their bronze ball and metal filaments in the cord. In addition, both the earplugs and the cord are coloured blue. This guarantees maximum safety in processes with the highest hygiene requirements. They are also characterised by their patented three-lamella shape, which means that no size adjustment is necessary. The practical cord makes them easy to wear around the neck when not in use. The earplugs are easy to insert into the ear canal and offer a high level of comfort and reliable protection. The soft silicone ensures low pressure in the ear canal. The metal-detectable earplugs have a washable surface and therefore guarantee greater hygiene, longer durability and a comfortable fit. With their low attenuation value (SNR=32dB), they still allow optimum communication despite hearing protection. They are always hygienically packed in the practical storage box.

The 3M EC cold-shrink end cap is made of EPDM elastomer and protects cables, pipes and other cylindrical objects against the ingress of dirt and moisture as well as mechanical damage. The rubber tubing is closed on one side, on the other it is pre-stretched onto a support spiral. When the spiral is pulled out, the end cap shrinks down and forms a secure, abrasion-resistant seal against moisture thanks to a constant radial contact pressure. It fulfils the requirements of ANSI C119.1 and is therefore suitable for indoor and outdoor applications as well as for underground or underwater installation. Its good thermal stability and resistance to decay, acids, alkalis, ozone and UV radiation guarantee long-lasting functionality. No additional tools such as shrink torches are required for installation. The cold-shrink end cap does not require an adhesive inner coating for sealing and can therefore be easily removed without leaving any residue by simply cutting it open.
