The 3M glass fibre reinforced polyester film 1139 combines the good electrical properties of a polyester film with the high stability of a glass fabric tape. The 0.165 millimetre thick insulating tape can withstand a breakdown voltage of 5,500 volts and has a high tensile strength. With a temperature resistance of up to 155 °C, it belongs to insulating material class F. The polyester film is coated with a solvent-resistant acrylate adhesive. You can therefore use it well wherever solvents are indispensable in the application. This includes heavy-duty cable bundles and fastenings in air and oil-filled transformers. It is also particularly suitable for improving impregnation with resins and paints.
