The 3M EMC aluminium shielding tape 1267 is an embossed aluminium foil coated with a non-conductive acrylic adhesive. The embossing ensures a low electrical resistance of just five milliohms and therefore good conductivity. The 0.127 millimetre thick shielding tape is therefore suitable for applications that require good electromagnetic shielding but no special conductive properties. The aluminium shielding foil is therefore a good low-cost alternative to copper tapes. In addition to EMC applications, it is also ideal for earthing and discharging electrostatic charges. Its excellent punchability makes it suitable for a wide range of applications. The adhesive tape is flame-retardant in accordance with UL and its adhesive is resistant to solvents, which guarantees long-lasting functionality.
