The 3M Antistatic Tape 40 is a carrier made of transparent polyester film with a coating of pressure-sensitive acrylate adhesive. At less than 50 volts, it generates only a minimal triboelectric charge when detached from steel. It therefore has excellent antistatic behaviour. It is therefore suitable for sealing electrostatically protective packaging and for universal use in electrostatically protected workplaces and areas. The antistatic tape is printed with ESD labelling on the adhesive side.
