3M Polyester Film 5 is a particularly thin and elastic insulating tape that is also highly resistant. While the acrylate adhesive is extremely resistant to solvents and "flagging", the carrier is characterised by very high tear and abrasion resistance. The 0.06 millimetre thin adhesive tape can withstand a breakdown voltage of 5,500 volts and belongs to insulation class B with a temperature resistance of up to 130 °C. The transparent polyester film is ideal for fixing connecting wires, as it allows the correct contact assignment to be checked visually.

The 3M splicing tape 9351AL is a splittable adhesive tape for flying roll changes with a straight butt joint when splicing. It is equipped with a double-sided coating of repulpable acrylic adhesive and an easily removable protective paper (also repulpable). Our 3M splicing tape for flying splices 9351AL (repulpable) has a protective cover with notch line for easy manual application as well as an integrated sensor layer (not repulpable, replaces conventional aluminium sensor labels in the splice area). The aluminium sensor integrated into the adhesive tape eliminates the need for the reflective label previously required for splice detection. The repulpable adhesives offer good shear strength for coldset newspaper printing as well as heatset commercial printing and have been developed especially for good adhesion to a variety of coated papers. The separable layer has been modified in favour of an overall lower splitting force and higher reliability of the splice seam when running on belt driven presses. This product can also be used on core driven presses.

3M 5361 is a 3M Acrylic Foam adhesive tape made of a dark grey acrylic foam with an additional acrylic adhesive on one side. Typical applications are attachments of add-on parts, such as bumper protection strips, trim strips and emblems. 3M 5361 has very good adhesion to a wide range of automotive surfaces, good internal strength, excellent long-term stability and very good conformability to the surfaces to be bonded. In combination with primer, the adhesive tape achieves good plasticiser resistance and guarantees good adhesion to elastomeric add-on parts.
