3M Polyester Film 56 is a particularly thin and elastic insulating tape that is characterised by its high adhesive strength. While the thermosetting rubber adhesive is extremely resistant to flagging, the backing has very high tear and abrasion resistance. The 0.06 millimetre thin adhesive tape can withstand a breakdown voltage of 5,500 volts and belongs to insulation class B with a temperature resistance of up to 130 °C. The yellow polyester film is ideal for interlayer insulation and cover taping on coils.
