The 3M polyester film 74 is an extremely thin and elastic insulating tape. The adhesive tape, which is only 0.02 millimetres thin, can withstand a breakdown voltage of 3,500 volts and, with a temperature resistance of up to 130 °C, belongs to insulating material class B. While the thermosetting rubber adhesive is particularly resistant to "Flagging" the backing has very high tear and abrasion resistance. The yellow polyester film is suitable for coil applications in confined spaces.

3M High Temperature Polyimide Tape 5413 is designed for masking printed circuit boards during soldering and for other low and high temperature applications between -73 °C to 260 °C. This brown, 8.58 µm thick adhesive tape consists of a DuPont Kapton polyimide film with silicone adhesive. In addition, the roll core is made of polyethylene instead of cardboard.
