The 3M glass fabric tape 79 can withstand a breakdown voltage of 3,000 volts and, with a temperature resistance of up to 155 °C, belongs to insulating material class F. This makes it ideal for insulating electrical components that emit a lot of heat and as a protective winding against heat radiation. Like all glass fibre tapes, it is particularly tear and abrasion resistant. This ensures long-lasting functionality even under high mechanical stress, such as in electric motors. Thanks to its elasticity, the printable adhesive tape adapts perfectly to different substrates and its fabric structure ensures excellent absorption of resins and paints. The 0.18 millimetre thick insulating tape is coated with solvent-resistant acrylate adhesive and is therefore particularly suitable for applications where solvents are essential.
