The 3M PPS kits with lids and inner cups (first version not compatible with 3M PPS series 2.0 items) each contain 50 (or 75) disposable lids, 50 inner cups and 24 caps specifically for use with the 3M PPS paint application system. Each 3M PPS lid has an integrated filter that ensures optimum filtration of the paint during application. Choose from lids with 125 µ filters, often recommended for waterborne paints, or 200 µ filters for traditional solvent-based paints. Always consult your paint manufacturer to use the recommended filter for the specific paint.

The 3M Accuspray nozzle head for the PPS 2.0 series ensures excellent atomisation for a wide range of coatings and is an integral part of the 3M Accuspray spray gun system. These interchangeable, reusable nozzle heads are available in a range of sizes for optimum atomisation whether you are applying low viscosity coatings such as water-based materials, solvent-based paints or higher viscosity coatings. The heads are easy to clean, reuse or can be easily removed and replaced to have the performance of a new spray gun when needed. Other benefits include reduced priming requirements, shorter application and cleaning times and a better finish, reducing the need for sanding. Each interchangeable nozzle head is made of clear plastic so technicians can always see if the head is clean, reducing the need for cleaning. The 3M Accuspray nozzle head for the 3M PPS 2.0 series is available in 3 colour-coded sizes: The 1.4 mm nozzle heads guarantee fine atomisation with minimal spray mist, making them ideal for lower viscosity paints such as sealing lacquers, varnishes, top coats and light adhesives in the automotive industry. The interchangeable 1.8 mm nozzle heads are ideal for medium to high viscosity coatings such as paints and adhesives in the automotive industry. The 2.0 mm nozzle heads are normally used with our 3M Accuspray HGP spray gun, which is specially designed for the application of high volume, high viscosity fluids. Use these heads for the application of gelcoat coatings, adhesives, primers, thick film primers and speciality and sound deadening coatings. The 3M Accuspray HGP pressure cup gun, together with the 3M Accuspray nozzle heads and the 3M Accuspray pressure cups, also enables the application of highly viscous materials such as underbody and stone chip protection or thick film filler. The gun has a pressure outlet that is connected to the cup via a hose and generates an overpressure there, which acts on the PPS inner cup inside. A valve in the cup prevents this pressure from becoming too high. Two adjusting screws regulate the spray jet (round jet to wide jet) and the amount of material that is dispensed. As the highly viscous materials can be processed with the 200µ sieve in this way, additional filtering is created that is not possible with conventional processing methods.
