3M Acrylic Plus adhesive tape made from a black acrylic foam with additional acrylic adhesives on both sides. Typical applications are fixings of rigid add-on parts such as spoilers, sills, aerial housings, roof rails and wheel arch extensions etc. where an aesthetically pleasing visible edge is required. PT1100 has very good adhesion to a wide range of automotive surfaces, good internal strength, excellent long-term stability and very good adaptability to the surfaces to be bonded. The unique viscoelastic properties of PT1100 provide excellent stress relief in the bonded seam, resulting in extremely durable joints.

The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again.
