3M Acrylic Plus adhesive tape made from a black acrylic foam with additional acrylic adhesives on both sides. Typical applications are fixings of rigid add-on parts such as spoilers, sills, aerial housings, roof rails and wheel arch extensions etc. where an aesthetically pleasing visible edge is required. PT1500 has very good adhesion to a wide range of automotive surfaces, good internal strength, excellent long-term stability and very good conformability to the surfaces to be bonded. The unique viscoelastic properties of PT1500 provide excellent stress relief in the bonded joint, resulting in extremely durable bonds.

The surface cleaner is used to degrease, clean and prepare parts to be joined before bonding. It can be used on various smooth materials, such as metals, plastic, glass, etc. The surface cleaner consists of isopropanol. Please check compatibility with the materials used before use. Clean all surfaces carefully before each application and only use clean, lint-free cloths. The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again.
