The 3M Primer optimally prepares smooth surfaces for the application of adhesives and sealants so that they adhere much more strongly and securely. It is transparent and consists of a one-component polyurethane. Thanks to its permanent elasticity, high temperature resistance and resistance to water and weak acids and alkalis, it is particularly suitable for bonding front, rear and side windows with PU or PVC-encapsulated glass edging, pre-primed glass edging, ceramic glass edging with a PU layer applied at the factory or for painted surfaces. It is completely dry after 15 minutes, but can be painted over as soon as the skin has formed, ensuring a smooth process flow.
