3M Scotch 13 ethylene-propylene-rubber tape, self-sealing, conductive, black, 19 mm x 4.5 m, 0.76 mm
Ready for immediate dispatch, delivery time approx. 1 - 3 working days
Scotch self-amalgamating ethylene-propylene rubber tape 13 is a semi-conductive tape made from black synthetic rubber. At 80 to 100 per cent elongation, the individual winding layers join together to form a homogeneous winding without air pockets. It is used to prevent partial discharges on irregular profiles such as tips and edges. It can also be used to limit surface voltages on high-voltage insulation or to control electrical fields. However, it is unsuitable for earth cables. It is equipped with a liner that can be easily removed during processing. The permanently elastic rubber tape is resistant to moisture, solvents and UV radiation, but not to oil. It is also compatible with all cable sheath materials. The 0.76 millimetre thick adhesive tape is self-extinguishing and has a limit temperature of 90 °C and a short-term temperature of 130 °C.
- Prevents partial discharge
- Permanently elastic and weather-resistant
