The Scotch self-amalgamating mastic tape 2229 is a self-adhesive, temperature-stable mastic tape with excellent dielectric properties. It is highly flexible and adapts perfectly to uneven surfaces. It is compatible with all cable sheath materials. You can therefore use it as a cable sheath replacement for any type of cable, both indoors and outdoors. It forms homogeneous self-adhesive wrapping layers and is therefore particularly suitable for the quick installation of insulation up to one kilovolt and seals as well as for padding larger uneven areas. It also enables the damping of vibrations in motor connections.
