3M Scotch-Weld 1357 is a polychloroprene-based contact adhesive with high initial strength and excellent temperature resistance. The product is solvent and heat reactivatable and can also be used as a bonding agent for polyurethane foam. Scotch-Weld 1357 is suitable for producing core bonds from paper honeycomb, glass, phenolic foam and PVC foam with cover layers of metal, wood, etc. The solvent-based adhesive is also suitable for bonding decorative panels to metal and chipboard.

Reaction

It can be used on various smooth materials, such as metals, plastic, glass, etc. The surface cleaner consists of isopropanol. Please check compatibility with the materials used before use. Clean all surfaces carefully before each application and only use clean, lint-free cloths. The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again.
